Oh my. What an interesting day I've had.
Woke up at 7:30am, with no help from the alarm clock.
I have been consuming the leftovers from my weekend in Portland. Namely, yogurt parfait and a burrito bowl from Chipotle. Don't worry, I didn't starve. That burrito bowl was packed with double meat, rice, cheese, guac, sour cream, salsa. It vas delicious.
I also have some snacks like banana chips, almonds and cashews that are left over from June, so those help during the day.
I found some V-8 I bought last term also, so, yum!
When I was in Portland this weekend, we stopped by Uwajimaya, an Asian supermarket in Beaverton. There I found uncured bacon, with no nitrates or nitrites, for $7.59. I also found some larger cans of coconut milk for $1.19 each, and I got two.
I'm not entirely certain what I'll use the coconut milk in yet, but seeing as Sally Fallon and Mary Egin sure like it, plus I'm not really consuming cow milk any more, I'm sure I'll find something for it.
Today seemed very hectic. I had auditions today, so there was getting ready for that. I forgot my computer charger in WY and my replacement charger didn't work. I had to call tech support and they couldn't give me any answers.
It felt like I was tying up loose ends from 8am this morning until class time, at 12.
Oh. And my bike tire is flat, again! Am I just cursed, or what? I'd really like to know so I can stock up on patch kits and tubes. Maybe I can get some at bi-mart night on Thursday! I'm also looking for a small, cheap crock pot, since I couldn't fit mine in my luggage.
Also, one of the classes I was really looking forward to probably isn't going to be that awesome. Mainly because, although the teacher is liberal, like me and sounds like Gene Hackman when he rants, he spent a lot of the class trying to make everyone laugh! Yes, I learned some things I didn't know, but man, I came here to learn not listen to your dirty jokes and references to lawyers.
That was really disappointing. :(
However, I did get a ton done today, so I feel very productive. :D
Sounds like an interesting first few days back. The house is sure quiet without you here. CJ went around on Sunday calling "ERA, ERA". It is so amazing to me that this is your LAST year of college. How did you grow up so fast?
