No Nook. I already have an equivalent.

You know those times when you really really really want something because it's cute and pretty and tiny and you think your life will improve once you get it? Yeah, I bet almost everyone has that feeling.

That was the Nook for me until last night.

I was exploring the Barnes and Noble website and I realized you can download their ereader program for free and start getting ebooks on your pc. Of course, I knew this but didn't really know it... I chose not to acknowledge the fact that I could have ebooks without purchasing a pretty little nook.

Why I am not going to purchase the Nook:

  • Well, the ereader is a nice little program with a clean interface and if you have an internet connection you can instantly download ebooks onto it.
  • I bring my laptop with me to school almost every day.
  • There is really no point in getting an item that repeats the job of the laptop that I already have.
  • It saves me $260 that I can use toward ebooks themselves.
  • If I really hate reading ebooks on my laptop, I told Rick he would have to get me a Nook for graduation.
    • I think I can live with using my laptop until graduation just fine.
