Falling and falling faster

It has been about a month since I had a consistent amount of sleep. I've been averaging 4-6 hours of sleep a night. I'm beginning to wonder if I should just pull a Brooke and retrain my body to accept six hours of sleep. I'd be only wasting 1/4 of my life sleeping instead of 1/3!

Dangerous Liaisons opens on Friday. The opening got pushed back from Thursday, which gives me more time to futz with details.

My corset is due next Monday. O.O I managed to get it stitched together yesterday. It only took 8 hours!

Rick is coming to see me on Friday! That will be the end of the 8th week away from him. I'm so excited! It's for our 5 year anniversary. O.o Seriously. That's a little scary to think about. I'm planning some fun surprises for him that I think he'll enjoy, like a treasure hunt and a massage! I thought about going paintballing with him but Grant talked me out of it. Phew!

I seriously feel like I might die from exhaustion. I can't seem to keep up with the show, the corset, homework and sleep. It's awful. However, I will be done in 4 weeks. I'll be back in Wyoming where I tend to sleep 8 hours a night and it's very restorative.

It also doesn't help that I've reduced my food consumption to one meal a day. It happened gradually and I sometimes eat two meals, but normally just one. I just don't get hungry very often. I'm too busy.

My new motto: "Am I done yet?!?"

It's getting that time of term...

The turning point of the turn where everything starts to make me think of Rick and I get super lonely.

It is also the point of midterms and shows. The one acts opened on Tuesday and will close tonight. The musical opens on Wednesday and will close next Saturday. Then weekend after is tech for Dangerous Liaisons.

Lately I have been averaging about 4 hours a night of sleep and one meal a day, usually at dinner time.

I'm pretty sure I have lost weight again, which is definitely in the wrong direction.

I can't wait to be done with school.

From Rustang to Mustang: Part Five

A picture of the side of the mustang. The pretty black parts are my handiwork!

The new headliner going in. Man, that took us like 9 hours to put in! We were also on a tight schedule because the headliner had to be in before the windshields could go back in. We stayed up all night so the glass guys could put the glass in the next morning.

Notice also, the new seat belts and the dash all painted black. :D

Another view of the headliner going in.

The back completed! Carpet is in, along with the new leather seats, which were upholstered by a family friend. Didn't he do a great job!

A picture of the dash. New instrument panel, dash pad, radio, steering wheel. The radio is actually an mp3 player done in the classic style of the Mustang radios. We also put in blue lights for the dash. It looks so pretty lit up at night!

The headliner all nice and finished! :D
The carpet installed. That took a good few hours to do.

The passenger side seat and door. Notice the lines of the seat follow the panels of the door. Very sharp. :)

Finals Week and Home to Wyoming

Wow. I have been very busy this term. What student isn't!

An Update:
My sugar reduction challenge has been going really well. I now drink coffee with cream, no sugar. Mochas tend to make my lips pucker because they are so sweet.

I was able to tighten my belt down a notch, not that I really needed to. What I was really worried about was the possibility of diabetes in my future, plus how sugar helps to weaken your immune system. No thank you! I'm certainly not completely sugar free, but I do feel quite liberated from my previous dependency!

I'm hoping to head back to Wyoming on Thursday. I have a plane ticket for Friday, but I'd like to get on standby for a plane on Thursday so I can see Rick and my family that much sooner! Thank goodness I get a short break!

A Good System:
I'm always on the lookout for new ways to help my productivity levels, especially regarding school work. I've discovered a very simple way of doing this.

  • I have a white board. I make a list of all the projects I have to complete.

  • I then make a daily to-do list with an area for check marks.
  • I get so happy when I check things off my to-do list!
  • When I finish a project, all I do is wipe it off the board!
It's so simple, that it might actually work. I found my problem with planners was the "out of sight, out of mind" adage.  I just never looked at what I had due, so I'd be frantically trying to do things the night before.

What I now have left to do this term. :)

It's obviously not a flawless system,  but I do enjoy the feeling of accomplishment I get when I erase a big project. How childlike of me!
