From Rustang to Mustang: Part Three



The body of the car in its final color!









We accidentally left the battery plugged in while painting and ran down the charge, so in the picture above, it is on the battery charger that Rick's dad let us borrow. Silly us. :)

Rick did a really good job of picking the color. He was very insistent that we have a light colored car, because of the heat. Black cars gather heat like no other. >_< There is metallic flake in the paint though, so I guess it is a little hard to shoot. One of our friends said that the easiest way to handle metallic flake is to put marbles in the spray gun because as you go back and forth the marble keep the paint shaken up, so it doesn't darken up on you.

All in all, we're glad that it's a different color!
