Well, the week is off to a really good start!
Last night my friends Ryan, Melanie, Jay, Cassie and Nic and I all went out for a night of trivia and food. We did two different trivia competitions and placed third in the second one at Applebee's! We got a gift certificate for a free dessert and free appetizer. I actually pulled my weight in the competition. :D
I ended up not feeling very well though, because the first joint was so loud it gave me a head ache. My headaches tend to turn into full blown light and sound sensitivity with roiling stomach and nausea to top it off. I'm thinking of buying a set of ear plugs to keep in my purse, just in case.
Yesterday Sandy and I finished out the corset pattern from the fitting we had couple weeks ago. The next step is to cut out the pattern, sew it together and fit the second mockup. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that one will be good, but I'm not terribly hopeful. I do see a third mockup in the future. *Sigh* Oh well. All I want is to get it finished by the end of February! :D
Today Jenessa and I will be working on building the blankets for Liaisons, which will be very interesting. I will have to post pictures of all my projects once they are finished. I'm excited to get everything finished and see the pretty show.
Mikey and I went to Ruby Tuesdays on Saturday, using the gift card that a mysterious family member from my Dad's side of the family sent me. I had macaroni and cheese with lobster. It was amazing. I also had a Sauza gold margarita. I think I should take a hiatus from drinking. I'm starting to associate it with nausea and that's never a good thing.
Anyways, Jenessa is here now and we have blankets to make. Blankets away! :D

A Food Update
Oh, what a great day!
I had work from 11-12, class from 12-1 today, then a big long break. During that time I visited our little farmers market here in Monmouth.

I had work from 11-12, class from 12-1 today, then a big long break. During that time I visited our little farmers market here in Monmouth.
Look at that haul! All of that for about $23.00
Raspberries
18 Farm fresh eggs
Pears
Apples
Squash
zucchini (for stuffed zucchini)
Tomatoes
Bell Peppers
Sucanat
Mixed Greens
Red Onions
A big squash/pumpkin thing (the gray thing in the back on the right)
An acorn squash
I got almost all the produce I needed. I just need a lime or lemon, and bananas. Maybe some garlic too.
Oh, I also got a lead on grass fed beef here in Monmouth! They were only selling freezer beef at the market and I really don't have a big enough freezer.
I got my poor charger in the mail today, so I'm tap tap tapping on my mini netbook once again!
I went to make a coconut smoothie today, and discovered that the cute little food processor Margie, Rick's mom, gave me didn't work. It was the first time I had tried to use it, so I was very bummed.
I had my sociology class today. Man, the professor is really full of himself. He thinks he's hilarious. It's irritating.
Then I had auditions, and we were only there for an hour and half when the director said she'd seen all she needed to and we were dismissed.
Then guess what!
BIMART NIGHT!
Basically, a really fun event in which Bimart is open later than usual and they give out free food, pens and pencils, energy drinks, sodas, and they have a big wheel you can spin and win free stuff.
Alysse and I stayed til the end and we kept getting free stuff. I ended up with a box of 12 satin hangers, a 30 hour febreeze candle, some cleaning products, 18 pairs of really cute short girls socks. (Which is great, because I was about to buy a pack of 6 for $4!) I also got a mug you can plug into the cigarette lighter of your car, and it heats up the contents to a steady degree. :) I have a thing for mugs, so that was great!
I bought a proctor silex mini food processor there too! It's a 1.5 cup capacity, which is perfect for just me and one other person, my honey or Alysse. :P It goes right along with our mini crockpot, rice cooker, coffee pot, sandwich maker and soon an iron. :D Maybe a griddle too. I saw a mini one at Bimart. I might have a problem. :D
My food consumption:
B: Quinoa with milk and a dollop of honey, again, since my food processor would let me make a smoothie for breakfast
That is my dinner/lunch. It was 2 strips of my uncured bacon, 2 of my farm fresh eggs, a batch of green pepper and squash sautéed and my attempt at squash hashbrowns. They weren't bad! That squash was really sweet. :D
I also had a cup of green tea with coconut oil and coconut cream and I had that during class today, so I think that's why I didn't snack much.
All in all an exciting food day!

We've been in Wyoming for just a little over a month now. It's very pretty here, especially around sunset.
We have had quite a few adventures.

We have had quite a few adventures.
- I killed a 3+ foot snake.
- A badger killed 25 of mom's leghorn chicken.
- A grass fire started less than 1/4 mile away from the house. Rick and I had to take all of the dogs, cats and kids away from the scene of the fire until it was put out.
- A goat got stuck under our trailer two days ago. Rick had to pull all of the cement blocks away from the trailer and pull the goat out.
- Yesterday we caught one of the wild kittens and it bit right through my thumbnail. Look at that kitten glare. The Humane Society now has the kitten, which is a big mistake. Since devil kitty bit me, they are probably going to kill it and test it for rabies, despite the fact the cat doesn't act or look rabid, and that we have requested to have the kitten back so it can not be killed at 2 months old. Sigh.
On a less angsty note, I'm working with a temp agency, which is really nice. I love the idea of getting to switch up what I do every once in a while. I'm working with The March of Dimes at the moment for about three weeks. Boy, have I learned a lot so far. I might continue working with the temp agency when I return to Wyoming in March. :)
Rick and I are trying to decide on a course of action for saving for our "next step". The steps go like this:
1. Move to a less populated area. Check.
2. Save up money for a boat. (The step we are currently going toward.)
3. Move out of the country.
4. Travel on boat using a sustainable lifestyle and hopefully without having to work all the freaking time. Somehow the idea of having to work for 60 years and then have 20-40 years of retirement isn't too appealing. How are you supposed to enjoy yourself if you can hardly lift anything, or run, or ride horses or...you get the idea.
Rick's idea for saving was an interesting idea, but one we have been doing without really deciding anything: Everything that I earn goes toward living expenses and savings, while everything that he earns goes toward savings. If we are doing work with a decent wage, that should work out really well. A sailboat is about $100,000. I want the boat before Rick turns thirty. That's seven years away. Ack. Let's not talk about how old I will be. O.O
A parting dream :)
